I tried Girl Charlee’s knit fix. It seemed like a really affordable way to get some interesting new fabric and try some garment sewing. And I got some really good deals. However, the pink animal print… not quite my style.
However, my seven year old niece loved it and had very, very specific instructions on what she thought it should be made into. A hoodie. A sleeveless hoodie.
I used the Shwin & Shwin Boy’s Hooded Sweatshirt. It was the perfect size pattern. And I drafted cap sleeves.
It may not be my bag, but I got lots of hugs and rave reviews from my niece. It was determined to be “super comfy.” Sometimes it is fun to make something that makes someone else really happy. And she has plans for me to make more.
