Fall in line

I took the Craftsy class, Start Foundation Paper Piecing with Elizabeth Dackson about 6 monthes ago. I was fascinated. I’m also a huge fandom girl and love, love, love some of the blocks on the site Fandom in Stitches.  But I was intimidated. I printed some templates but didn’t see a stitch.

I had a small window to play today. I should have worked on heart blocks. But after some less than stellar seam allowances, I was annoyed with myself. So I hunted through some scraps and made a quadrant of the sunburst block. The first block in the class.

I love the crispness!  I’m surprised how well my scraps worked together.

And I adore that I can just follow a line.  A whole new list of Christmas ideas are being drawn up.
